Automotive photographers and writers Julia and John Aschenberg have been my personal friends for all of my professional career. Their list of friends in this hobby is probably one of the longest lists around, and their photos and stories have appeared in just about every specialty car magazine you can think of.

Earlier this year, Julia launched a brand new online ladies automotive magazine. She calls it LIA Magazine—Ladies In Autosports at www.liamag.com. In less than a month (so far) the response has been great and many women (and men) have contributed ideas.

Events & shows, features, how-to articles, and “who’s who” personal stories are all part of the mix, and Julia is eager for input as to what type of articles you would like to read in LIA. She is also interested in hearing your ideas. If you have suggestions for stories, or know of any prominent women in the hobby who deserve acknowledgement and recognition for their talents, efforts, contributions, and achievements in any area of the automotive world, let Julia know.

Julia and John have been traveling to a lot of hot rod and custom car shows this season (as always), promoting LIA Magazine and looking for story ideas. They are scheduled to be at these upcoming events:

July 10-12, Goodguys Nationals, Columbus, Ohio
August 5-9, NSRA Street Rod Nationals, Louisville, Kentucky
August 28-30, Frog Follies, Evansville, Indiana
September 4-7, NHRA Mac Tools US Nationals, Indianapolis, Indiana
September 18-20, Goodguys Chicagoland Nationals, Joliet, Illinois
October 16-18, Goodguys Nostalgia Nationals, Bowling Green, Kentucky
November 3-6, SEMA Show, Las Vegas, Nevada

Check it out for yourself by visiting www.liamag.com.
