Inner fender at last!

Finally I can get the front sheetmetal finished.

After months of looking I finally have a replacement inner fender, and can finish up the front end sheetmetal fitment.

At last, a straight inner fender panel!

I'd begun to think I'd never find a straight replacement inner fender for the R&C project Purple Pig, then stumbled upon one at the Long Beach swap meet last weekend. Best of all, it cost a mere $20, and once I've scraped the undercoat off I can send it out for sandblasting, trim it to fit around the new upper A-arms, paint it, and bolt it in place.

The lack of this panel (mine was crunched owing to an accident sometime in the car's past) was preventing me from installing the front clip for the final time, so this comes as some relief as the car is scheduled to drive to Louisville for the NSRA Street Rod Nats in August, and I'm fast running out of time!
