Nothing like that south-western desert sun to bake the still-wet primer on the front end and passenger door! Despite a four hour delayed start to the trip, the roadster pickup made it straight through to Austin, with just one speeding ticket and two cautions for a dead tail light (the second as we were pulling into the first gas station we came across to fix it!). 1500-odd miles in 25 or so hours. Then back again three days later!
